Book Review: Effective Fundraising for Nonprofits- by Ilona Bray

When I was new to fundraising and nonprofit work many moons ago, one of the first books I purchased was “Effective Fundraising for Nonprofits,” by Ilona Bray.  I literally devoured this book in days. It became my “go to” book for every question I could think of.  I still have it on my shelf, all dog-eared and highlighted.  Since that time, she has updated the book, and I decided to use it when I teach college classes on nonprofit marketing and all aspects of fundraising, and I bought her newer edition published in 2013.  She effectively covers everything a fundraising professional needs to know – from fundraising technology, to donor cultivation, special events, grant writing, and much more. Don’t just take my word for it, if 27 reviewers gave it 4.6 out of 5 stars, you know I’m not the only one who is a huge fan of this book. You can find the book on Amazon by clicking here. Happy reading!
